About the Product

What is sipping broth, and how is it different from traditional bone broth?

It’s a powdered bone broth designed for sipping, not cooking. Just add hot water. It contains bone broth, herbs, trace minerals, and prebiotic fiber for gut support.

What are the main ingredients in Taking Stock’s broths?

Chicken bone broth powder, coconut milk, prebiotic fiber (gluten-free, made from wheatgrass), trace minerals, coconut sugar, and monkfruit.

Are these broths made with real bone broth?

Yes. 100% chicken bone broth—no additives, carriers, or flavorings. Non-GMO compliant and made in the U.S..

What does "prebiotic" mean, and how is it used here?

Prebiotics are plant fibers that feed good gut bacteria. We use a low-dose prebiotic fiber called Arrabina (from upcycled wheatgrass) to support digestive health.

What are the short-term functional benefits of this broth?

It provides gentle satiety with 8g protein, 3g prebiotic fiber, and coconut milk. It also supports hydration with fluid and electrolyte-containing trace minerals (e.g., potassium).

What are the long-term functional benefits of this broth?

It promotes the growth of beneficial gut bacteria with low-dose prebiotic fiber (from gluten-free wheat fiber extract).

How much protein, collagen, or fiber is in each serving?

Each serving contains:

  • 8g protein
  • 5g collagen
  • 3g prebiotic fiber

Is this product Keto, Paleo, Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free, or Soy-Free?

Our broths are made with whole-food ingredients and contain no dairy, soy, or grains. Here’s how they align with common dietary preferences:

  • Keto-Friendly: Yes — low in net carbs (only 2g sugars and 6–7g total carbs per serving)

  • Dairy-Free: Yes

Each serving contains 370 mg of sodium (16% DV) — in line with other high-quality powdered bone broths and generally lower than many shelf-stable liquid broths.

Are there any artificial flavors, additives, or preservatives?

No. We use only whole-food ingredients to build flavor naturally—no artificial additives, flavors, or preservatives.

Are your broths organic or non-GMO?

Our products are non-GMO compliant. While not certified organic, we prioritize clean, traceable ingredients.

How to Use

How do I prepare the broth?

Just add hot water. Empty one sachet into a cup and pour in 8 oz of water heated to 140–160°F. Stir to dissolve, sip, and enjoy.

Can I cook with it, or is it just for sipping?

It’s designed for sipping—especially for gut and digestion support. That said, you can cook with it. The Spring Herb flavor pairs well with savory, adventurous dishes. Try it as a sipper first to get a feel for its flavor.

How many servings are in each pouch or sachet?

Each pouch contains 8 single-serving sachets. One sachet = one serving.

What does it taste like? Is it more savory or sweet?

  • Spring Herb Prebiotic Sipping Broth:
A savory, herbal bone broth with a creamy texture and rich flavor—reminiscent of a  curry. It’s balanced and fresh, with flavors that are inspired by a kitchen garden.
  • Fall Spice Prebiotic Sipping Broth:
Warm and comforting, this spiced bone broth features flavors reminiscent of chai or baking spice blends, with a gentle sweetness that complements the broth’s depth—complex without being overpowering.

Both flavors are grounded in real chicken bone broth, with coconut milk for richness, prebiotic fiber for gut support, and collagen for daily nourishment.

Can I drink this daily?

Yes—and we recommend it. It’s a gentle, satisfying way to curb hunger between meals while supporting your gut with prebiotic fiber and nourishing your body with collagen and protein.

When’s the best time to drink it—for digestion, energy, or other benefits?

Our sipping broth works beautifully at different moments in your day:

  • Morning boost: A nourishing start if you’re skipping caffeine or sugar
  • Midday edge-tamer: Sip while cooking to ease hunger before dinner
  • Post-yoga or workout: Rehydrate and refuel with electrolytes and collagen
  • Travel days: Especially air travel—supports digestion and hydration
  • Evening wind-down: Soothing spices + fiber help settle your stomach before bed

It’s gentle enough for daily use—designed to support your body over time.

Shelf Stability & Storage

Does the broth need to be refrigerated?

No. It’s fully shelf-stable and should be stored in a cool, dry place—like a cupboard or countertop out of direct sunlight.

How long does it last unopened? What about after opening?

Each product has a two-year shelf life (check the best by date printed on the pouches and sachets). Once opened, use the sachet immediately—it's not meant to be resealed. Keep any unopened sachets sealed and dry. Once mixed with water, drink promptly.

Is it safe to travel with / take on the go?

Yes—this product was designed for exactly that. Just add hot water wherever it’s available: airports, gas stations, school cafeterias, gym lounges, work breakrooms, or coffee shop hot water taps. You can also carry a thermos of hot water and mix in the powder when you're ready—or prepare it at home to sip on your commute.
